Reunion

The sister bike to Mike Hailwood’s legendary 1978 Isle of Man Tt-winning Ducati was reunited with two key technicians of that amazing year. Pat Slinn was involved with Mike’s bike while Neil Cummins looked after teammate Jim Scaybrook’s Ducati. Asked what their over-riding memory of that TT was they both said in unison: “Reliability.” Cummins explained that Scaysbrook’s engine had covered more than 1500km by the time it got back to Australia without any major work being done on it.
