Black Star Rid­ers are to part ways with co-founder gui­tarist Da­mon John­son at the end of this year. His re­place­ment is Chris­tian Mar­tucci from the band Stone Sour. John­son will also sit out BSR’s trip to Brazil next month, on which Thun­der gui­tarist Luke Mor­ley will stand in. BSR are due to be­gin the record­ing of a fourth al­bum in early 2019.

Its 14 songs were in­spired by a wide range of sub­jects, in­clud­ing the gui­tarist’s early days in Dept­ford as a mem­ber of Dire Straits.
