HONDA ‘Bials’ TL 50
Honda entered the trials arena in the early seventies, with the idea of selling motorcycle trials to the mass audience they believed would slowly graduate into the sport. They needed a machine to start the trend of the TL models, with a 50cc four-stroke machine for the beginner or young rider. The model centred on a very practical single cylinder OHC, two-valve air cooled engine with a four-speed gearbox, which was an ideal everyday machine for the family to enjoy. It proved very popular, but was never imported into the UK.
The official Honda brochure was, as always, very well presented. Below: The small but effective four-stroke motor.
