How much do you spend? Usually around £100-£120 a week. Now that I have two children [Rocco, three, and Tahlia, two], I do my grocery shop online, late at night on my phone, and it’s delivered the next day. Describe your daily diet My husband Alex and I recently rescued our local post office and turned half of it into a coffee shop, so if I’m there I’ll have avocado or mushrooms on sourdough, or scrambled eggs and smoked salmon when I’m at home. Lunch is pea and ham hock soup with crackers, and I like pork chops with new potatoes and broccoli or a monkfish red curry for dinner. I tend to avoid sugar, so I snack on lots of roasted almonds as they are a good source of energy. What would you cook to impress? I’d make a pad Thai or a slow roast shoulder of lamb with roasted garlic new potatoes. What is the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten? Recently, I was showing someone a house in Spain for A Place In The Sun and I bit into a fig I picked in the garden. I’d eaten nearly half of it before I noticed a maggot inside! Is there anything you refuse to eat? Tripe. An ex-boyfriend’s nan used to eat it but I thought it was disgusting. Food hangover cure? I usually order a Chinese of crispy seaweed with sweet and sour prawns.
