MY TIPS FOR A HAPPY PREGNANCY

Closer (UK) - - Interview -

STAY ACTIVE

“I’ve continued exercising throughout my pregnancy, power walking on the treadmill at home and doing floor exercises and bits with resistance bands. I really enjoy exercise – it’s my release.”

FIND HEALTHY MEALS YOU LOVE

“I have sweet treats, but I also ensure I’m getting all the nutrients to keep the baby and me healthy. For breakfast I might have porridge with seeds and a drizzle of honey or boiled egg and soldiers. For lunch, it’s fish and salad, or a veggie couscous, and for dinner I’ll have something like butternut squash and spinach curry, or sweet chilli salmon with broccoli, rice, baby corn and avocado.”

LISTEN TO YOUR BODY

“I’m having so many sweet cravings with this pregnancy. It’s important to listen to your body and do what feels right for you, so I’ll have some chocolate if I want it.”

DRESS CONFIDENTLY

“I struggled with fashion during my last pregnancy and hid my bump in baggy tracksuits! This time I wanted to feel glamorous and not frumpy.”
