‘Muggers are proud of their crimes’
Journalist Livvy Haydock infiltrated a moped gang earlier this year, while filming a documentary. She tells Closer, “All the boys I met were either in their late teens or early twenties and seemed like completely normal young lads. They were articulate and there was nothing that would make you suspect they were wrongdoers. I met the group a few times and never felt intimidated as I met them in a safe place. They definitely understood the consequences of their actions, but chose not to think about them and didn’t seem remorseful. They even seemed proud of their crimes. Mugging is their business and they are RIGHT extremely ALIGNED good at it, so they love to brag.”
