Lauren: “I’ll have a baby – with or without a man!”
After ditching jailbird boyfriend Joey Morrison, Lauren Goodger tells pals she’d be happy to be a single mum as she plans her perfect revenge body
Adjusting to A single life in the wake of her split from convict Joey Morrison, insiders reveal Lauren Goodger – who told Closer in April that she’d “love to get pregnant” – has said she doesn’t care whether she’s with a man or not when she has a baby.
A source says, “Lauren’s spoken openly about how broody she is and she’d love to have a baby right now. But she doesn’t want to feel that pressure of needing a man to start a family – she believes you can be a great mum with or without a man by your side. She says she’d be happy to be pregnant and alone, because she can’t wait to have a baby. She’d love to be pregnant this time next year and is looking into all her options.”
FEELING INSPIRED
Insiders say Lauren, 31 – who recently posted on Instagram “can’t wait to have my baby boy” – has been inspired after seeing how well her pal Ferne Mccann has coped with her nine-monthold daughter Sunday, after her ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins, 25, was sentenced to 20 years in jail for a horrific acid attack.
The source says, “Lauren looks at how confident Ferne is and what a great job she’s doing with Sunday and thinks it’s really inspiring. Obviously, she’d love to find Mr Right, but if he didn’t come along in time, she’d still look into different ways to fulfill her baby dreams, such as a sperm donor or adoption.”

Lauren’s on/off two year romance came to an end three weeks ago, when the former TOWIE star hit out at Joey – who is coming to the end of an 18-year prison sentence for drug-related offences – for allegedly messaging other women on social media from behind bars while they were together. She admitted on Twitter, “Just feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders!!! 2 years waited loyal and faithful and wasted soooo much money!! Now I am about to live my life with all I’ve missed out on!!! I’ve been hurt but nothing or no one will take away my sparkle.”
The source says, “Lauren’s not sitting around, crying about Joey – she’s thinking about her future. She’s been in touch with some producers in LA and would love to star in a reality show in the US. She had planned to move there a few years ago, so has a small network of contacts there. She needs a fresh start, so going abroad would be perfect.”
And Lauren, who had lipo in January, is aiming to boost her career chances by getting her dream body. The source says, “Lauren is about being fit and healthy, not skinny. She wants her health to be her priority so that she’s in the best place if she does decide to have a baby. And she hopes a shape-up will help her in America. She’ll probably be nervous about weight gain in pregnancy and will want to be as small as possible before she has a baby, so there’s less to lose after.”
The source adds, “She’s working out three times a week and sticking to a healthy diet. She’s a size 10-12 now, but wants to get down to a size 8-10. She says she’s no longer being pulled down by negative energy from haters online.”
