‘JI­HADIST LON­DON’ WI FI GROUNDS PLANE

A pi­lot re­fused to fly a plane af­ter a pas­sen­ger spot­ted that some­one on board had named their Wi-fi net­work ‘Ji­hadist Cell Lon­don 1’. The Thom­son flight was due to fly back from Cancun in Mex­ico to Gatwick Air­port on Tues­day 23 May, just hours af­ter the sui­cide bomb­ing at Manch­ester Arena. Po­lice were called af­ter no­body ad­mit­ted to the name. All pas­sen­gers were taken off the flight and flown home the fol­low­ing day.
