GMAIL TO STOP SCANNING YOUR EMAILS

Google is to stop scanning the content of your emails in Gmail, which it currently does so it can target you with personalised adverts. Previously, only users of Gmail’s paid-for version had been exempt from email scanning. However, you’ll still see personalised adverts in Gmail, based on information Google gathers about you, such as your browsing history and location.
