Update your iphone and ipad and fix Outlook problems

In Issue 511 (page 45), we explained how you can check whether your iphone or ipad can be upgraded to IOS 11. If your device is eligible, then make sure it has at least 60 per cent battery charge and is connected to a Wi-fi network. Now open Settings and tap Software Update. If there’s an update pending, you’ll see the option to ‘Download and Install’ (see screenshot below). Tap this, type your device’s passcode when prompted and the update (11.0.1 at the the time of writing) will begin.

This version fixes a few problems with IOS 11, including one which stopped Outlook, Office 365 and Microsoft’s Exchange Server 2016 users from sending and receiving emails.
