Whether it’s hard, soft, cold or warm, your heart may soon log you into your PC. Buffalo Univer­sity in the US has built a radar sys­tem that wire­lessly maps its size and shape. Be­cause ev­ery heart is unique, these scans can ver­ify a user’s iden­tity. It’s cur­rently too big for ev­ery­day use, but re­searchers hope to shrink it to fit inside a key­board.
