Microsoft’s policy of ending support for updates after 18 months would be fine if it was easy to install them. But many Computeractive readers are still unable to install April’s Creators Update, leaving them trapped on the Anniversary Update, which expires early next year. Their only option is to buy a new PC capable of running the latest version of Windows 10. But there’s no such choice for Windows Phone users, who eventually will need to move to Android or IOS.
