Iran has been blamed for the hack on Parliament in June that accessed 90 email accounts, including 30 used by MPS. An unpublished intelligence report seen by The Times points the finger at the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, set up in 1979 to defend Iran against foreign interference. The attack, previously attributed to Russia and North Korea, is believed to be Iran’s first significant act of cyberwarfare against Britain.
