Alldup is one of very few duplicate-finders that doesn’t make you pay to remove the replicated files it discovers. The basics are easy: click Source Folder, select a destination, then click Start Search. But there are dozens of search filters to wrestle with, and the scan results are initially baffling. The new version of Alldup lets you save your search criteria when you exit, and that’ll help speed things up next time you use it. The Save button lets you export a TXT or CSV file of the results, so you can go through the list carefully before removing files.
To get the installable version, click Download on the left, then click ‘Server #1’ or ‘Server #2’. Tick ‘Add Alldup to the Windows Explorer context menu’ in the setup wizard to add a right-click scan option to any folder. There’s also a portable version, but it doesn’t include the right-click option.
