How do I clear all iphone notifications?

Computer Active (UK) - - Problems Solved -

QI’ve just been given a hand-medown iphone 6s, which came without a box so I don’t have instructions. I’ve worked out most of the things I want to do but the notifications are annoying me — or rather, the inability to dismiss them all at once. I’ve worked out that I can swipe right to left on a notification to clear it, or tap the little cross followed by Clear, but it’s a slow process. Is there a way to clear them all at once? Clare North

AYes. Your iphone 6s has a pressure-sensitive screen, which enables a feature Apple calls 3D Touch. All you need to do is tap that little cross and then press the Clear button a little more forcefully, as though pushing into the screen: this will result in a new button, labelled Clear All Notifications (see screenshot). Just tap this and all past alerts will be deleted.
