BT TO DITCH TRADITIONAL PHONE LINES

Computer Active (UK) - - News -

BT has said it will shut its existing phone network by 2025, moving all customers to voice calls over the internet – a technology known as VOIP. It confirmed the decision in an email to companies that provide landline services via BT’S Openreach network. The company will now discuss with the industry the best way of moving to the new system.
