Cocoon Security Camera

Computer Active (UK) - - Reviews -

Resembling a tennis ball, the Cocoon is easy to set up from its app, which lets you see a live view and check alerts. Motion detection is basic, but an infrasound microphone also learns what’s normal in your household, so it can respond to anything that isn’t. After a few days, we found dropping a heavy object triggered an alert. Clever. Alerts give you the option to set off a built-in alarm, but if you don’t notice the alert, burglars will remain undisturbed (though recorded). 1080p video, saved at 720p, looks clear night or day. Multi-user geofencing is the only option for turning the system on and off, although you can also disarm it or trigger the alarm using an Amazon Echo. VERDICT: It doesn’t have the widest range of features, but the Cocoon focuses on being simple to set up and use, and sevenday online storage is free ★★★★☆
