Record and edit audio on your PC

Computer Active (UK) - - Make Windows Better -

You don’t need to install any software to record and share audio recordings on your PC – just use Windows 10’s default Voice Recorder app instead. Search for and open the app, then click the blue mic icon. You’ll now see a pause button and a flag icon that lets you add markers while recording (to mark a new section of a speech, for example). Press the blue Stop button when you’ve finished.

You’ll now see your recording with a play button and timeline. The markers on your timeline represent the points when you clicked the flag icon while recording. There are four icons at the bottom (see screenshot above). From left to right they let you share your recording using compatible apps, trim it using a slider, delete it and rename it.
