READERS WARN READERS
Beware new Hermes scam In early April I received an unexpected email claiming to be from the courier Hermes. They sometimes deliver items to me from Tesco and Next, so I read it with interest. But I didn’t recognise the sender’s email address ( shipping.
email@example.com). The email told me my order was on its way, but I hadn’t ordered anything all year. After a quick search online, I realised I’d been targeted by a scam spotted by security researchers (read this blog: www.snipca.com/27448). I had a lucky escape, because the email contained nasty malware.
