The ad­ver­tise­ment boards in Pic­cadilly Cir­cus will soon be able to show ad­verts based on the cars and peo­ple go­ing by. At peak times, this could cause a strobe ef­fect, but they’ve prob­a­bly thought of that al­ready.

LandSec, the com­pany be­hind the scheme, says the screen is big­ger than three ten­nis courts. The cam­eras are hid­den, and don’t store passers-by data. The screen will keep its renowned curved shape, sur­face area and its abil­ity to have a patch­work ap­pear­ance.
