NEWQUAY AND FISTRAL BEACH

Cornwall Life - - WALK -

If you love photography – few spots will satisfy your desire to capture a stunning sunset than Fistral Beach in Newquay. Take your camera bag on this walk and capture the contrasts of the pastoral tranquillity of Crantock with the coastal features of Newquay’s vibrant shoreline. People have lived here since prehistoric times, and the walk takes in sites of historical interest on both sides of the River Gannel, which was once a bustling waterway but is now a peaceful saltmarsh, home to wading birds and salt-loving plants. Check the tide times before you leave.

Begin your walk at National Trust Car Park, Crantock – TR8 5RN
