When it comes to healthy skincare habits, Little Mix are leading the way – which is why we asked them to spill their complexion commandments…
The best way to maintain a dewyskinned glow and fresh face? Get yourself into a good make-up-removing routine. “I have problematic skin, so I always make sure I take my make-up off at the end of the day,” says Jade. “Even if I’ve had a big night out, I always do it when I get home!” When you’re as on the go as Little Mix are, it all comes down to having plenty of quick and easy-to-use products in your bathroom cabinet that’ll help keep you on the beauty straight and narrow. “I use Simple Face Wipes, then a cleanser. I always moisturise, too, as I have dry skin,” says Jade.
Another easy way to keep your skin vibrant is to stay hydrated, by aiming to drink at least two litres of water a day. Not a fan? Get your fix through herbal and caffeine-free teas, and ensure you have a fail-safe moisturiser to pick up the slack.“My skin changes as we travel so much – it gets so dry, meaning I need to moisturise loads,” says Jesy. “I use the Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser – I love it when my skin feels clean and hydrated.” Use a lighter cream for day and a richer one before bedtime to really ensure you’re giving your skin what it needs.
“I love it when my skin feels clean and hydrated”
“If I’m stressed, tired or dehydrated, my skin is the first place it will show” “Facials are my favourite. They’re so relaxing, and there’s nothing better than my skin feeling clean, exfoliated and fresh”
We’ve all fallen victim to spots, and even pop princesses like Perrie aren’t exempt. Again, it all comes down to getting your skincare routine right. “If I forget to take my makeup off, I’ll wake up the next morning and have break-outs,” says Perrie.“My chin and my forehead are the worst places for spots. If I’m stressed, tired or dehydrated, my skin is the first place it will show.”
When it comes to pampering themselves on a day off, Little Mix all agree that Leigh-Anne is the “queen of spas”. “I love going to spas! When we’re on tour and have a day off, you’ll definitely find me in one,” says Leigh-Anne. “Facials are my favourite. They’re so relaxing, and there’s nothing better than my skin feeling clean, exfoliated and fresh.” Indulging in a spot of self-care is essential for keeping up a glow, so make sure you mark out time in your diary each week, even if it’s just 20 minutes to do an at-home face mask – your body and mind will feel the benefits.
