SEEKING OUT SUPPORT

Going on benefits felt humiliating at first. I completed the online forms in tears. The job I lost out on would have given me a £5,600 annual pay rise and was within walking distance of my flat, so I’d have saved on commuting costs. I’m hopeful I’ll find work soon.
