Georgina Rose & Alex
As a couture bespoke wedding dress designer at Cotswold Bride, Georgina Rose knew her dress had to be absolutely perfect when she married her sixth form sweetheart Alex. When she spotted the gown she chose she knew instantly it was the one. Then everything fell into place – the gown was a Sassi Holford, who Georgina Rose had a fondness for as the designer’s studio was in Taunton where she studied; it was covered in roses, a nod to her beloved grandmother Rose who started her passion for sewing and hand embroidery and taught her to love bumble bees; and the matching veil was called the Rose.
“Nanny Rose was very special to me so it just felt perfect,” she says.
The couple married at the Church of St Peter & St Paul in Northleach, where Nanny Rose is buried and where Alex proposed on her birthday.
