PIERRE AND MARCO LINK UP IN BATH
Legendary chefs Pierre Koffmann and Marco Pierre White are joining forces to launch a new restaurant in Bath. The Koffmann & Mr White’s brasserie, which is due to open at The Abbey Hotel in September, will be the first time that two three Michelin-starred chefs have teamed up to open a restaurant together. A pivotal figure of the London restaurant scene, Koffmann has been cooking for over 50 years. He opened his first restaurant, La Tante Claire, in 1977 and won three Michelin stars. He also mentored some of the best-known chefs in the industry, with protégés including Gordon Ramsay, Marcus Wareing and Jason Atherton. White began his career as a commis chef with the Roux brothers at Le Gavroche before going on to work for Koffmann at La Tante Claire in 1984 before opening his own restaurant four years later. The menu at Koffmann & Mr White’s brasserie will include Gascon and British classics.
