Many plants flower into autumn, but precious few produce fresh blooms. One plant that offers a welcome colour boost to the front of a border is Colchicum

‘Waterlily’. The pale lilac, double flowers appear before the foliage and are an impressive 8cm in diameter. They’ll grow in any aspect, in any well-drained soil. What could be easier?
