Chelsea restaurant Daphne’s is inviting owners to bring their dogs for lunch in the conservatory and Lulu Guinness has designed a hand-painted dog bowl, inspired by her Westie—which is, funnily enough, named Daphne. Hounds will receive doggy biscotti. Only 50 bowls are available to buy at the restaurant or online, £60 (020– 7589 4257; www.daphnesrestaurant.co.uk; www. luluguinness.com)

It’s not too late to book a room at exceptional Côte d’azur hotel Cap Estel for some summer sun. Built into the rocks and overlooking a private beach, this famous Mediterranean hideaway offers the finest in luxury. Head chef Patrick Raingeard produces seasonal food, grown in the hotel’s kitchen garden; the six-course tasting menu is outstanding, including smoking dishes—literally—and a spectacular fois-gras sphere. Once the sun has set, enjoy a massage at the award-winning spa. Tasting menu from €160, rooms from €490 (www. gp-associates.co.uk; 020– 7610 3533)
