Visions of an epic journey
HE photography of Herbert Ponting and the watercolours of Edward Wilson will be reunited for the first time since the two men were part of Capt Scott’s fateful expedition to the Antarctic more than a century ago. The two polar explorers intended to hold a joint exhibition on their return, but only Ponting survived the terrible conditions. ‘Visions of the Great White South’ is open, Monday to Friday, until August 19 at Bonhams, Bond Street, London W1.
