Owl be watching you
HE ‘100 years ago’ letter showing your countrywoman hand-rearing birds in the garden rings as true today as then (August 31).
For the past couple of years, I have been helping rear-on orphaned and injured owls, watching them flourish and fly. One such tawny has become a resident, wild and free, but I somehow suspect they all still watch over me. I certainly hear them at night. Here I am encouraging him to feed (above). History repeats itself in the depths of Suffolk and all over the country, I suspect. Heather M. Tanner, Suffolk
