What’s happening in your postcode?
NEW Knight Frank website www. mypropertygenius.com lets you see what’s trending in your area.
For example, when I entered my own London postcode, I discovered that values had gone up by 69% in the past five years, that #barrecore, #brunch and #chickenkiev were trending on Twitter (most logical as there are 29 pubs to 15 gyms), Japanese food is all the rage and my children (if they existed) would have a 77% chance of getting into their primary school of choice.
The website also reports on everything from local farmer’s markets, cafes and supermarkets to the average asking price and sale price for a property such as mine.
I then entered my parents’ postcode, in deepest Lancashire, and found that there are 19 pubs to three gyms (I’m not insinuating anything) and that 317 loft conversions have received planning permission in the past three years. Oh, and #brunch is trending on Twitter, probably from the last time I visited.
