Save our stores

Country Life Every Week - - Letters To The Editor -

BEING country born and bred, but now a long-time resident of central London, I read your magazine to keep in touch with my roots, but your comments on metropolitan matters are also wholly apposite. The latest example was Agromenes highlighting the disappearance of individual restaurants and shops (November 9). The nail was well and truly hit on the head.

London residents need shops such as convenience stores, but small independents are being marginalised and forced into secondary shopping areas, if not closed down altogether. Mike Dunn, London W1
