Sibyl Colefax and John Fowler moved to 39, Brook Street in Mayfair in 1944. In the same year, the business was sold to Nancy Lancaster who, with John Fowler, built it into Britain’s most iconic decorating firm. Early next year, it will open its doors at 89–91, Pimlico Road, traditionally an important hub for London’s antiques trade. More recently, it has become home to some of the capital’s most inspiring interiors brands, including Soane Britain, Linley, Joanna Wood, Nicholas Haslam and Luke Irwin. Both Robert Kime and de le Cuona are arriving soon.
