Perilous poodle

Country Life Every Week - - Letters To The Editor -

MY dog Lucy (right) greatly enjoyed your article about poodles (November 30). As a hunting dog, she is appalled by her frou-frou cousins—she catches mice, digs out moles, chased a fox up a tree, brings me hedgehogs and once a starling (released unscathed). She is happiest in the field, but, afterwards, is treated like the dogs in Tottering-by-gently. Wladyslaw Bartoszewski, Poland
