The anti-lit­ter logo in­tro­duced in the 1960s has been re­in­stated, as it was dis­cov­ered that Tidy­man—the black sil­hou­ette of a man putting his rub­bish in a bin—is far more recog­nis­able than his green suc­ces­sor of a decade’s stand­ing. From now on, Keep Bri­tain Tidy will en­cour­age busi­nesses to use the orig­i­nal sym­bol on all pack­ag­ing.
