THE en­closed pho­to­graph shows one more way in which a woman can help on a farm at the present cri­sis. It is im­por­tant to keep down rab­bits, as the amount they will eat if al­lowed to get out of hand is sim­ply ap­palling! And in this case the ‘Fem­i­nine Rab­bit-catcher’ has helped to ac­count for nearly 200 cou­ples since Christ­mas. The dark fer­ret shown, which has caught a good pro­por­tion, is a half-bred pole­cat, his fa­ther be­ing a wild pole­cat from the Welsh hills.—frances Pitt
