Country Life Every Week - - Letters To The Editor -

YOUR article about the Great British Eccentric John ‘Mad Jack’ Mytton (Notebook, April 12) reminded me of a former landlord of The Jack Mytton at Hindford, near Oswestry in Shropshire, in the 1980s—if he didn’t like the look of your tie, he would produce a pair of scissors from under the bar and, with one quick movement, cut it in half. Needless to say, if you knew about his antics, you never went there wearing your favourite tie. Trevor Hughes, Shropshire
