After designing houses for the iconic interior-decorating firm Sibyl Colefax & John fowler for more than three decades, emma Burns has a unique understanding of how antiques can enhance a room. Her projects include a villa in Mustique, town houses in Moscow and Paris, a château in Nice and chalets in Switzerland, as well as numerous town and country houses in the UK.
In conversation with Country Life’s Interiors editor, Giles Kime, she will discuss the creative process of finding, choosing and combining pieces that complement a space and work together to lend a distinctive mood to a scheme.
the Art & Antiques fair runs from June 26 to July 2 at Olympia, Hammersmith road, W14. It’s the UK’S largest and most established art and antiques fair, taking place annually in June at London’s Kensington Olympia exhibition Centre.
