Af­ter de­sign­ing houses for the iconic in­te­rior-dec­o­rat­ing firm Sibyl Cole­fax & John fowler for more than three decades, emma Burns has a unique un­der­stand­ing of how an­tiques can en­hance a room. Her projects in­clude a villa in Mus­tique, town houses in Moscow and Paris, a château in Nice and chalets in Switzer­land, as well as nu­mer­ous town and coun­try houses in the UK.

In con­ver­sa­tion with Coun­try Life’s In­te­ri­ors ed­i­tor, Giles Kime, she will dis­cuss the cre­ative process of find­ing, choos­ing and com­bin­ing pieces that com­ple­ment a space and work to­gether to lend a dis­tinc­tive mood to a scheme.

the Art & An­tiques fair runs from June 26 to July 2 at Olympia, Ham­mer­smith road, W14. It’s the UK’S largest and most es­tab­lished art and an­tiques fair, tak­ing place an­nu­ally in June at Lon­don’s Kens­ing­ton Olympia ex­hi­bi­tion Cen­tre.

Cel­e­brat­ing its 45th year in 2017, the fair is an an­nual des­ti­na­tion for more than 30,000 vis­i­tors from all over the world.
