Closely re­lated to its white-lipped cousin, but slightly big­ger, the brown lip around the mouth is a good indi­ca­tion of the species, yet is a far from fool­proof clue, as, in some ar­eas, nemoralis has, con­fus­ingly, a white lip. Equally puz­zling is that the two species read­ily mix, al­though they don’t ap­par­ently in­ter­breed
