Grade Ii-listed, 16th-century The Tin Pot, in the village of Wheathampstead, was used as a pub in the Victorian period and has had Georgian and Victorian alterations. Now beautifully restored, it has four bedrooms, some Tudor brickwork, horseshoe beams and an inglenook fireplace. A converted barn houses four guest apartments, each with a front door and access to a garden. The fomal landscape gardens are mainly laid to lawn; there’s also a patio area and vegetable beds. Michael Graham (01462 441700)
