Combat cruelty and neglect

Country Life Every Week - - Letters To The Editor -

IN response to Agromenes’s article ‘The Rise and Fall of the RSPCA’ (July 12), I feel it’s essential that this charity keeps going. There is an epidemic of animal cruelty and neglect in this country, whether it be in homes or on farms. We’re supposed to be a nation of animal lovers, but, sadly, this is not always the case as the RSPCA, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, The Donkey Sanctuary, Dogs Trust and many others can testify. If a person can’t contact the RSPCA about animal cruelty, who are we supposed to tell? Val Charles, by email
