Clean glasshouses

-

Glasshouses are intended to admit as much natural light as possible during the dark days of winter. Now is the time to ensure that happens by cleaning the glass. Transfer the plants to a safe place. Remove all traces of shading from without and within. Search out and remove all fallen leaves and other bits of debris from the floor, especially under the benches. Then get a stepladder, roll up your sleeves and work through the glasshouse, starting with the underside of the roof, washing and rinsing the glass surface. It’s a miserable job, but it does a lot of good.
