A cure for exhaustion

Country Life Every Week - - Letters To The Editor -

PHYSICS has never been my strong point and the following partial solution to Agromenes’s problems (May 2) may appear naïve, but rather than be faced with the inconvenience of finding locally accessible charge stations and wasting the time involved in recharging, why not standardise the size and shape of battery packs and simplify their installation? Petrol stations could then act as sources for rapid battery-pack replacement. The attendant would simply pull out your exhausted battery pack and replace it with a fully charged one, leaving you to drive off with another 300 or so miles in your ‘tank’.
