THE HEDGEROWS ARE WOVEN WITH COLOUR AT THE MOMENT, SO WHAT COULD BE NICER THAN SPENDING A SUNNY AFTERNOON BRAMBLING? I COLLECT THE DELICATE FRUIT IN A WIDE BASKET SO THEY DON’T GET CRUSHED AND EITHER USE THEM IMMEDIATELY OR FREEZE FOR LATER. THE BERRIES ARE ALWAYS DELICIOUS IN AN APPLE PIE OR COBBLER, OR INCORPORATED INTO CAKES – EITHER MIXED IN WITH THE BATTER OR SANDWICHED WITH LASHINGS OF WHIPPED CREAM. I ALSO LOVE THEM PURÉED AND ADDED TO A GLASS OF PROSECCO WITH A SINGLE BERRY THAT WILL BOB UP AND DOWN IN THE BUBBLES. Find out more at sophieconran.com.
