THE GAME FAIR
28-30 JULY 2017, HATFIELD HOUSE, HERTFORDSHIRE
Enjoy a great day out at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire
IF YOU’RE PASSIONATE about the great British countryside and rural pursuits, you won’t want to miss The Game Fair, which is taking place close to London this summer for the first time in over 50 years! Stunning historic Hatfield House, just north of the capital in rural Hertfordshire, will provide an atmospheric setting with easy direct access for visitors arriving by train.
This unique fair will be host to 1,000 exhibitors across three days, with a packed programme offering plenty to interest the whole family including gundog handling, clay shooting, archery, fishing, equestrian events, falconry and ferreting. There’s also a full schedule for dog lovers, too, with have-a-go events for the family hound.
Gourmets will be keen to experience TV cookery host Gregg Wallace’s Shot to Pot restaurant (above right) – providing visitors with a truly memorable culinary experience. A huge success last year, the 5-star public restaurant and hospitality area will deliciously fulfil the growing demand for ‘farm to fork’ food provenance.
And there will be a wealth of retail opportunities for those who like to shop, including the enticing Country Living Pavilion. This will be home to an exciting array of stalls showcasing the work of talented artisans from around Britain, selling original items for the home and garden, stylish fashion, beautiful jewellery and distinctive accessories and gifts.
Visitors wishing to spend a couple of days making the most of everything on offer will find The Game Fair campsite is the perfect place to base yourself. Open for five nights, and bookable for anything from one to five nights, it has all the facilities you need to make your stay comfortable, including pre-pitched tents and glamping. Make this summer a special one with a trip to the Game Fair!
