Celebrate the season…

Country Living (UK) - - First Words From The Editor -

It’s easy to do, for May is, without doubt, the most beautiful month in our country calendar: bluebells carpet the woodlands, cow parsley lines verges, and parks and gardens everywhere are resplendent with cherry and apple blossom. This is also the best month for birdsong, so, for a really uplifting experience, get up extra early one morning to take a dawn chorus walk. See In Praise of Dawn on page 84 for more details. Such is the eclectic mix of Country Living, this month you can also discover how to keep fowl in your garden (page 27), how one woman is helping to save the Sussex trug (page 90) and the story of a financier-turned-goat farmer (page 76). This is also my opportunity to share some extremely exciting news with you: in addition to reading the magazine and joining us at the Country Living Fairs, you can now come and stay in a Country Living Hotel! See pages 30-32 for more details. We look forward to welcoming you.
