Researchers call for bee highways

Country Smallholding - - January News -

Britain’s bee population could be saved by a network of ‘bee highways’ to help them travel from area to area. The idea features in a landmark United Nations report aimed at protecting bees – which are increasingly under threat. Scientists said planting flowers along railway verges, power lines alongside canals, by the sides of roads and hedgerows would help allow the bees to travel over a wider area.
