The UK’s Wilt­shire Horn Sheep So­ci­ety is de­lighted to have their first mem­ber keep­ing a flock on the South Is­land of New Zealand. Nina Dens­ley is rear­ing this tra­di­tional Bri­tish breed, with unique char­ac­ter­is­tics, on the other side of the world, and fac­ing a whole set of chal­lenges. “I am de­lighted to be a mem­ber of the so­ci­ety, and ex­tremely proud of my flock num­ber,” said Nina. “At some stage, I hope to be able to travel to the UK in or­der to fur­ther my knowl­edge of the breed, and to as­sess how my sheep com­pare to those of the UK mem­bers.”
