May 12 & 13 Ex­pe­ri­ence a fab­u­lous fam­ily day out this spring at Not­ting­hamshire County Show. With plenty go­ing on in­side and out, on show will be the best cat­tle, sheep, goats and pigs along­side su­perb equine events, in­clud­ing ma­jes­tic ‘heav­ies’ and first- class showjump­ing. New for this year is a ded­i­cated ‘Heav­ies Ring’ where vis­i­tors can get closer than ever to watch th­ese mag­nif­i­cent horses pre­pare for their classes. Meet your favourite farm­yard an­i­mals, gun dogs and birds of prey. Chil­dren will par­tic­u­larly en­joy the an­tics of the an­i­mals in the Coun­try­side Area and the re­turn of the pop­u­lar Gi­ant Tor­toises and, of course, the hi­lar­i­ous ‘Sheep Show’. Fea­tur­ing as the main at­trac­tion is the fa­mous Atkin­son Ac­tion Horses who have re­cently ap­peared in the TV se­ries, Poldark, Vic­to­ria and Peaky Blin­ders. In ad­di­tion, there will be many other spec­tac­u­lar dis­plays to en­ter­tain and in­form vis­i­tors.

There will be mu­sic, lots of fun, a tasty Food Ex­pe­ri­ence area, and am­ple op­por­tu­nity to shop for crafts, gifts and cloth­ing, many items on sale will not be avail­able in the high street stores. Hot food and de­li­cious treats will be avail­able at var­i­ous food and drink out­lets around the show.
