If this is some­thing that you think you’ll strug­gle with then con­sider man­age­ment sys­tems that in­volve buy­ing in an­i­mals in the spring and sell­ing them again (or slaugh­ter­ing them) in the au­tumn, thus keep­ing your win­ter work­load to a minimum.
