Country Walking Magazine (UK) - - News -

That’s what a lot of people call Fay Godwin (19312005), who pioneered the art of landscape photography in her quest to explore how the modern world was encroaching on nature. Her masterpiece is the 1977 book The Drovers’ Roads of Wales, and images from the book form the core of a major exhibition in Machynlleth, Powys, from February 17th to April 1st. The venues are the Museum of Modern Art and the Penrallt Gallery Bookshop. As part of the expo, Mike Parker (author of the wonderful Map Addict) will lead walks along the drovers’ roads out of Machynlleth on March 1st and March 5th.
